On March 21, 2014, Smith Phillips Partner Flip Phillips spoke at the 2014 Insurance Law Symposium presented by the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC).

The national symposium took place at the Robert C. Khayat Law Center on the campus of the University of Mississippi, as a part of the University's Law Weekend proceedings. Speakers on the program included leading insurance law and litigation experts from Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., as well as Mississippi. Drawing on his experience representing policyholders nationwide, Mr. Phillips addressed the Scope of Extra-Contractual Damages in Insurance Litigation.
